Challenge: Create media to develop with partners and funders “Theater in the Public Schools” Program. Considering school, community, administration and funders. Fundraising and Grant Awards for the non-profit arts group seeking future donations.
Strategy: Identify a 6-8 day schedule for interviewing, profiling student leaders and creators, following the performance rehearsals, and night of performances. Produce a short film that celebrates the process, successes, and the highlights of the program in the school.
Solution: A short documentary film following the students through the program culminating at the performance of scenes from Langston Hughes and Raisin in the Sun as well as personal monologues written and performed by the students.
